Director Tanya N. Garfield of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Disaster Field Operations Center - West today reminded California private nonprofit organizations of the April 17, 2017, deadline to apply for an SBA federal disaster loan for property damage caused by the severe winter storms, flooding and mudslides that occurred Jan. 3-12, 2017. Private nonprofits that provide essential services of a governmental nature are eligible for assistance.
Low-interest federal disaster loans are available to California businesses and residents affected by the Clayton Fire that occurred Aug. 13-26, 2016, U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Administrator Maria Contreras-Sweet announced today. SBA acted under its own authority to declare a disaster in response to a request SBA received on Sept. 1, 2016, from Gov. Edmund G. Brown, Jr.’s designated representative, Mark S. Ghilarducci, director of the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services.
